About me

Hi, I’m Zoey Lyttle. I’m a journalist based in New York City with experience working across platforms and verticals.

I was born and raised in the Pacific Palisades, though I traded the L.A. sun for Scotland’s eastern shores for four years while studying at the University of St Andrews. I completed undergrad with a first-class dual degree in English and Comparative Literature.

Pursuing a master’s in journalism led me to New York University, where I specialized in Magazine and Digital Storytelling. For two semesters, I balanced graduate school work with a full-time job as an Editorial Assistant at PEOPLE.

I’ve continued to chase exclusives and break news at PEOPLE, now as a Society & Culture Writer-Reporter. I’m a founding member of our Creators vertical, and while my work generally revolves around digital entertainment and viral news, I’ve also taken on some rather unlikely beats, like in the world of pageantry.

My reporting has allowed me to tell stories across print, video and social platforms. I’ve also gained significant experience on camera, having appeared in interviews for other outlets and PEOPLE’s own in-house content.
